Vegetables, sanitary ware and polyethylene delivered to Bishkek by plane from Turkmenistan

An “Il-76” plane from Turkmenabat arrived in Bishkek on June 29 with a Turkmen cargo delivered under the agreements reached during the recent visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Turkmenistan, tazabek.kg reports citing President of the Kyrgyz Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Danil Ibraev.

Air delivery of Turkmen cargo included:

  • 18 tons of sanitary ware (pipes of different diameters - plastic, ceramic sanitary ware, plastic products, including tables, chairs, buckets, etc.);
  • 10 tons of tomatoes;
  • 6 tons of carrots;
  • 2 tons of confectionery products (various corn confectionery products, including chips);
  • tissue samples;
  • petrochemistry (granules of polypropylene, polyethylene and other petrochemicals).

At the site of the Kyrgyz-Turkmen Economic Forum, which took place on June 27, agreements were signed between business circles within the framework of cooperation of the Unions of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan of the two countries.

In particular, contracts were signed for the supply of sanitary ware, vegetables, food for a total amount of more than 21 million US dollars. Within the framework of the agreements reached, it was also decided to develop cooperation between entrepreneurs of the two states in the fields of clothing and footwear production, investment activities and import-export operations. The Turkmen cargo that arrived yesterday marks the beginning of the implementation of these contracts.

Recall that during Sadyr Japarov's visit to Turkmenistan, the presidents of the two countries signed a solid package of documents aimed at strengthening and developing Kyrgyz-Turkmen bilateral cooperation in various fields.
