President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov has arrived in Turkmenistan on an official visit today, the press service of the head of state reports.
At the Ashgabat International Airport, decorated with the National flags of the two countries, the President of Kyrgyzstan was met by officials. A guard of honor was formed along the carpet leading from the plane's ramp in honor of the arrival of the distinguished guest.
From the air harbor, the motorcade of the head of Kyrgyzstan proceeded to the residence assigned to him for the duration of the visit.
Within the framework of the official visit, Sadyr Zhaparov will hold bilateral talks with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, will take part in a number of events. Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan will sign more than a dozen interstate and intergovernmental documents.
Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in October 1992, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan have been developing constructive cooperation in the political, trade, economic, humanitarian and cultural spheres. To date, the legal framework of the traditionally friendly interstate dialogue includes 60 documents.
