As a result of participation in the VII Mathematical Olympiad of Nordic Universities (NCUMC-2021), Turkmen students took the first 7 and 26 prize places, “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.
The Olympiad, organized by the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO University), was attended by over 350 students from 40 higher educational institutions from different countries.
Two Turkmen universities entered the top 10 of the ranking of successful participants: the fifth line is the Turkmen State University named after Mahtumkuli, the sixth position is the International University for the Humanities and Development.
From Turkmenistan, the best result belongs to the students of TSU named after Mahtumkuli: they were awarded four first places. It:
- Ramazan Bahtiyarov;
- Akmuhammet Akmuradov;
- Merdangeldy Bayramov;
- Murat Sapaev.
Moreover, on the account of the students of TSU named after Mahtumkuli - 6 second and 3 third places. The team of the university was prepared for the Olympiad by the head of the Department of Mathematical Analysis, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Nurmuhammet Gurbanmammedov.
The first three places were also taken by:
- Perman Iljanov (International University for the Humanities and Development);
- Akmurat Tirkeshov (Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country);
- Gurt Dovletov (State Power Engineering Institute of Turkmenistan, Mary).
11 second and 6 third places - in the assets of students of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the International University of Humanities and Development, the Turkmen Agricultural Institute (Dashoguz), the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after S.Seydi (Turkmenabat), Engineering Technological University of Turkmenistan named after Oguzhan, State Power Engineering Institute of Turkmenistan (Mary), Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications.
The official language of NCUMC-2021 was English, and Turkmen students also showed good linguistic training.
All winners and prize-winners received diplomas of the corresponding degrees.
