President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting today via digital video communication regarding the affairs in trade complex and priorities in its further development.
As informs the State information agency of Turkmenistan several deputies of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministries, chiefs of corresponding ministries and branch departments took part in the meeting.
The head of state was the first to summon the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers G.Mushshikov for a direct connection. The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the fulfillment, in accordance with the instructions of the head of state, of the tasks facing the relevant contracts concluded by ministries and sectoral departments with foreign companies.
Having listened the report the Leader of the nation drew attention to supporting of progressive economic growth of the country which is our current priority. In this connection ministries and sectoral departments must ensure sustainable growth of labour productivity, highlighted the Head of Turkmenistan, and gave a series of assignments to the Vice prime minister.
Then the word was given to o.Ishagulyeva, the Chairman of National Association “Turkmencarpet”. On behalf of the country's carpet makers, the head of the association thanked President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov from the bottom of her heart for opening the magnificent white marble building of the Ashgabat carpet weaving enterprise during the celebrations of the 25th anniversary of neutrality.

The Head of State underlined that the preparations of the plans on development of carpet manufacturing and national handcraftsmanship for future years based on market analysis with consideration of the use of local raw material resources is to be done. Herewith it is necessary to coordinate work on the enterprises of the association in the framework of implementation of state policy in the sphere of digital technologies.
As noted the Leader of nation, taking into account the achievements of the digital economy it is necessary to learn advanced experience in details and embed them into the sector.
Further, B. Charyev, the Chairman of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange reported on the implementation of the policy in the field of the sale of commodity and raw materials resources of Turkmenistan and the creation of favorable conditions for the development of the wholesale market. As noted, the relevant work continues on the organization and conduct of exchange trading, the introduction of effective methods of pricing for goods, the determination of the feasibility of the concluded export-import contracts.
In order to implement the “Strategy for improving the activities of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan for 2020-2025”, work continues on the introduction of a digital system in this area.

Having reported the status of previously given directions by the Head of country, the Minister reported about taken steps for solving of important issues, appearing from the Program of the President of Turkmenistan on social-economic development of the country for 2020 – 2025 years.

In addition, it was reported on the phased implementation of a large-scale project – the laying of the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway in accordance with the established schedule. All building materials and means are available for this, including modern special equipment.
Additionally, it was reported about the state of affairs on another large project being implemented, according to the instruction of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, also about the construction of a new modern administrative center of the Akhal velayat. As part of the report, it was also stated about the activities carried out in accordance with the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy. Every day in the global Internet the opportunities for promoting domestic goods are expanding by opening web pages of trade enterprises, creating appropriate mobile applications, organizing online sales, delivering products, including over long distances.
Joint-stock commercial bank “Rysgal” has introduced a system of banking Internet payments in electronic format, which is the main tool for electronic commerce. As reported, a contactless payment system has been introduced.
After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that private entrepreneurship has a special role to play in modernizing the sectors of the national economy, in its development through diversification, increasing production volumes and expanding the range of high-quality, competitive products, in ensuring food abundance and, in general, in increasing the export potential country.
The head of state gave an appropriate order to comply with the high quality of work and the planned deadlines.
Further, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ch.Gylyjov was summoned for a live video link. The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the activities in the areas of the shopping complex to fulfill the instructions previously given by the leader of the nation to improve food supply in the domestic market of the country, to meet the demand of the population for a wide range of goods.
After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov pointed out the need to increase the pace of increasing the volume of products produced in the country, especially in the agricultural sector. Government support for the private sector of the economy should be strengthened, including the provision of financial and material and technical assistance to small and medium-sized businesses.
It is also important to bring in line with the requirements of the present time the activities to create a modern structure for organizing trade with the introduction of digital technologies into it.
In this regard, the head of state addressed specific instructions to Ch. Gylyjov, in particular, to continue working with the heads of the relevant industry institutions on issues of increasing the volume of exports of domestic goods.
Then President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed all the participants of the workshop on digital video communication, setting a number of specific tasks for them.
Among the priority tasks, the head of state named the supply of the country's population with food. They also indicated the need to increase the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products and reduce the volume of imports of goods from abroad.
As the leader of the nation emphasized, given the ever-increasing role of small and medium-sized businesses in this matter, urgent measures must be taken to ensure the efficiency of the private sector. In light of the designated tasks, the President of Turkmenistan gave separate instructions to the relevant leaders.
In particular, the Head of state demanded to keep under strict control the issues of providing the domestic market with food and essential goods, to take all measures to fill stores and markets with a wide range of goods.
As the President of the country emphasized, it is necessary to increase the volume of products and goods produced by the Ministry of Textile Industry. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also instructed to take all measures in order to strengthen the material and technical base of domestic carpet enterprises, increase the range and types of products they produce, and expand the geography of its sale.
The head of state also pointed out the need to carry out appropriate work to organize electronic trading in carpets, rugs and gift items and to introduce a digital system for this purpose. Improving the supply of raw materials for carpet enterprises was also named among the priority tasks.
Focusing on the importance of strengthening methodological assistance to increase the export of domestically produced goods, assist in finding new markets and ways of selling, as well as providing quality services, the leader of the nation addressed specific orders to the relevant leaders.
In order to expand business relations, the tasks were set to improve the organization of all kinds of exhibitions and conferences, to increase interest in them.
Moving to the issues that stand before non-state sector, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov stated that individual enterprises must take active involvement in realization of great products of industrial directions including on creation of high technological production.
The Head of state signed that local individual producers of the goods should possess with marketing, legal and consultative help in distribution of export oriented products abroad and consolidation of positions of the world market.
The President of Turkmenistan highlighted that it is necessary to increase sale of the products via Internet, to create home services for electronic commerce on the international level, to strengthen the advertising of domestic goods on the international level.
The Leader of the nation Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed to prepare proposals on creation of the center of support of the exporters, also the center of provision of assistance to small and large businesses on social beginnings. In this aims it is necessary to learn positive experience of the foreign states.
The President of Turkmenistan instructed Deputy Prime Minister – G. Mushshikov and Chairman of the Central Bank – M. Annadurdyev to keep in the center of constant attention the rigorous implementation of industry programs, work on improving the banking system in accordance with the requirements of the time through the introduction of advanced digital technologies.
