Turkmenistan participated in the discussion of cooperation in the construction industry of the CIS countries

Representatives of the Ministry of construction and architecture of Turkmenistan took part in the XL meeting of the intergovernmental Council for cooperation in construction activities, the website of the CIS Executive Committee reports.

The event was also attended by representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the Russian Federation, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee.

At the meeting, which was held via videoconference, participants discussed topical issues of economic, scientific and technical cooperation of the CIS member States in construction activities.

Members of the intergovernmental Council discussed the preparation of events for the upcoming 2021 year of architecture and urban development in the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Also on the agenda was the creation of a Commission for cooperation between the Intergovernmental Council and the Union of public associations "International association of unions of architects".

Speakers paid special attention to the activities of the construction industry in the context of the coronavirus pandemic and shared their experience in dealing with its negative consequences.

The participants of the meeting of the intergovernmental Council were informed about upcoming events in 2021 dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
