UNDP will assist Turkmenistan in developing a national human rights action plan 2021-2025

The signing ceremony of the Working plan of the project to assist in the implementation of the national action plan of Turkmenistan in the field of human rights for 2020 between the UNDP office and the Institute of state, law and democracy took place today in the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the foreign Ministry of our country.

The document was signed by Yagmur Nuryev, Director Of the Institute of state, law and democracy of Turkmenistan, and Natia Natsvlishvili, UNDP resident representative in Turkmenistan.

The project is aimed at strengthening the protection, promotion and realization of human rights in Turkmenistan by harmonizing laws, policies and practices in accordance with the country's obligations under international human rights treaties and implementing the national action plan of Turkmenistan in the field of human rights for 2016-2020.

Within the framework of this project, it is planned to assist the government of Turkmenistan in implementing the national human rights action plan for 2016-2020 and developing the draft National human rights action plan for 2021-2025.
