On September 27, a solemn military parade will be held in the capital to mark the 29th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence. Heads of military and law enforcement agencies reported on preparations for it at an expanded Government meeting today.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that independent Turkmenistan is always committed to the status of permanent neutrality, which is a key factor in maintaining peace and stability in the Central Asian region. The large-scale work being carried out to improve the activities of these structures corresponds to the provisions of the Military doctrine, which is purely defensive in nature.
The upcoming solemn military parade should demonstrate the equipment of the Armed Forces with modern equipment, high professionalism and training of Turkmen soldiers who guard the gains of independence, peace and quiet of their native land, and the prosperous and creative life of the people, the Turkmen leader continued.
Noting that one of the important aspects of state policy is the Patriotic education of young soldiers, The President of the country addressed relevant instructions to the heads of military and law enforcement agencies, the State news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
