In 2019, Italy ranked 3rd in Turkmenistan's foreign trade, with a bilateral trade turnover of more than one and a half billion us dollars. This was stated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during a telephone conversation with the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, the information program "Watan" of the Turkmen television reported.
"It is also noteworthy that today Italy holds the second position in the list of partners in the export of Turkmen products," Berdimuhamedov stated.
Recall that in November 2019, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov paid an official visit to Italy, where topical issues of cooperation in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres were discussed, as well as 20 bilateral documents were signed.
