On September 2, the Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan Guych Garayev paid an introductory visit to the Astrakhan state technical University, the Consulate's press release reports today.
During the visit was his meeting with the rector of AGTU A. Nevalainen. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation, namely, training of specialists for Turkmenistan, cooperation in the field of academic mobility, fisheries and oil and gas industry.
Congratulating the Consul on the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, the rector expressed readiness to hold joint events dedicated to this significant date after the epidemiological situation in the region has eased. These can be concerts, round tables, and thematic meetings.
The Consul's acquaintance with the University continued with a short tour of the territory of AGTU, during which he was shown the audience, halls for various events.
Currently, more than 400 students from Turkmenistan are studying at the University, so at the end of his visit, Garayev also met with them.
