The Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan on its official website published the final list of candidates for free education in higher educational institutions of Russia in the 2020/2021 academic year.
848 Turkmen citizens applied for 215 budget places. Places in the main list were distributed as follows: 184 places for admission to bachelor's and specialist programs, 20 places for admission to master's programs, 8 places for admission to postgraduate programs, 3 places for admission to residency programs.
The selection of candidates was conducted by representatives of the Embassy, Rossotrudnichestvo, and the Alexander Pushkin Turkmen-Russian school. Emphasis was placed on the results of testing, school assessments, participation in Olympiads, conferences, and symposiums. Attention was also paid to the achievements of the respective citizens in the field of sports, creativity and volunteerism. In addition, the presence of patents for inventions was considered.
"Congratulations to the candidates who successfully passed the competitive selection, and we wish them good luck in their studies!" - said a message on the official website of the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan.
Last week, the Russian Embassy published the preliminary results of the competitive selection for training in Russia in 2020-2021.
