During a telephone conversation between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the two leaders exchanged congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of “Gurban bayramy”. This is reported by the state news Agency of Turkmenistan.

Confirming the commitment of the two countries to unbreakable fraternal ties, the Presidents noted that every effort will continue to be made to further strengthen interstate cooperation.

In the context of discussing topical issues on the regional and global agenda, the topic of the coronavirus pandemic was raised.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, stressing that Turkmenistan supports the efforts of the international community in the fight against the spread of COVID-19, confirmed our country's constant readiness to cooperate widely in developing new methods in this direction.

Thanking Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his special attention and personal contribution to the strengthening of interstate relations, the Turkmen leader expressed gratitude for the support provided and for the medical supplies and personal protective equipment sent to our country. "This fact is regarded as a symbol of unbreakable friendship between the two countries," Berdimuhamedov said.
