A telephone conversation took place between President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani.
After exchanging congratulations on the upcoming “Gurban bayramy”, the heads of state addressed greetings to the peoples of the two countries.
The President of Turkmenistan noted that the Holy holiday represents the triumph of high ideals and expressed the wish that it would bring peace, harmony and stability to the Muslim community (Ummah) and all mankind.
The heads of state discussed the coronavirus pandemic, which is relevant to the world agenda, and its rapid spread on a global scale has a negative impact on all aspects of international relations.
The Turkmen leader assured that the country fully supports the efforts made by the international community in the fight against COVID-19, which has become universal, and considers it necessary to develop coordinated steps to successfully counter this threat, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
