Special attention was focused on the General problem of the Aral Sea, the drying of which had a negative impact on the climate, ecology, and health of people living in the Aral Sea region and far beyond.
The President of Turkmenistan noted that natural factors can contribute to the transfer of various infections over long distances by dusty air flows formed in the Aral Sea zone.
Supporting this opinion, Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the steps being taken in Uzbekistan, in particular, the planting of saxaul at the bottom of the dried-up Aral Sea.
Turkmenistan is also implementing a set of targeted measures. In particular, active work is being carried out in the Dashoguz velayat, where a special forest protection strip has been planted, which serves as a kind of filter for dusty winds coming from the Aral Sea.
In conclusion, the head of Turkmenistan once again congratulated his colleague on his birthday, wished him good health and further success in responsible state activities, and wished the fraternal people of Uzbekistan well – being, prosperity and peace.
