President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to President of the people's Republic of China Xi Jinping on the large-scale floods that occurred in several provinces of the country, resulting in loss of life, injuries and significant destruction. Due to heavy rains, the people's Republic of China experienced the worst floods in the country's history.
"The flood affected almost 39 million people. 141 were killed or went missing. 29,000 homes were destroyed and more than two million residents were evacuated," said the Chinese Deputy Minister for emergency situations.
Authorities estimate the economic damage from the disaster at 82.2 billion yuan, which is 11.75 billion dollars, according to “Interfax”.
