President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov got acquainted with the projects of leisure facilities in the area of Gurtly lake, located in the Northern part of Ashgabat, having made a working trip around the capital today.
Arriving early in the morning to the lake, the President of Turkmenistan in conversation with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, various ministries and industry bodies, the Union of Industrialists and entrepreneurs, hyakima Ashgabat said the viability of developing a modern leisure infrastructure. Along with facilities that include the necessary range of services for vacationers of various ages, large entertainment complexes, water attractions, as well as facilities for appropriate services should be built on the lake's shore, the head of state said.
Reporting on the implementation of the order, Deputy Prime Minister Sh. Durdylyev presented to the President the projects of objects planned for construction on the lake shore within the stages of its improvement, the scheme of their locations, and also familiarized with the available opportunities for the formation of leisure infrastructure.
Among the projects proposed for consideration are several summer cafeterias, a grocery store, sports and playgrounds, terraces and gazebos for adults and children. It also includes facilities for staff accommodation, medical service and Parking for cars of "Ambulance", the lookout tower.
After reviewing the submitted projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a number of comments and made adjustments. It was emphasized that the construction should take into account the peculiarities of the local landscape, paying priority attention to the preservation of ecological balance, as well as ensuring high quality of work.
As it was noted, the development of cultural and leisure zones is designed to bring the service sector to a qualitatively new level. An innovative approach to the organization of this direction, people's recreation in combination with the recreational potential of the nature of the native land, will contribute to the protection of human health.
Speaking about the need to improve the territories adjacent to the objects and create parks, the head of state instructed to pay attention to the formation of green zones.
In continuation of the topic, the President stressed that, first of all, it is important to build social infrastructure facilities here – cafeterias, retail outlets selling soft drinks and ice cream, a teahouse, as well as to fully provide the necessary funds to ensure the safety of children on the water.
The Main thing, the President of Turkmenistan said, is that there should be a high level of cultural service to the population, having addressed a number of specific instructions to the relevant leaders.
Speaking about the expediency of providing Parking for vacationer’s cars, as well as establishing public transport and taxi traffic, the President noted that this will help expand the list of services provided for people who prefer to spend their free time on the lake.
In General, approving the submitted projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the need for a comprehensive and responsible approach to ensuring high-quality construction work, creating appropriate conditions for recreation and various types of water sports in this territory. In this regard, the head of state instructed to ensure effective management and involve the country's entrepreneurs in construction work.
The President stressed the importance of regular monitoring of the main water indicators. Priority should be given to the creation of Park areas, landscaping of the surrounding area and, at the same time, ensuring optimal conditions for comfortable recreation, the head of state said, ordering to keep under control the solution of these tasks.
As it was noted, our country has a full range of opportunities and resources to diversify the resort and medical and preventive infrastructure. Therefore, the recreation area that will be created on the shore of Gurtly lake should become one of the most popular in the leisure industry.
On the territory of the lake there are all the conditions necessary for organizing various types of water sports. The reservoir and its surroundings form a single ecosystem in harmony with the natural features of the country, and this is the main factor for the formation of recreation infrastructure here.
Then the President made a detour of the lake on a jet ski. The head of state landed on the opposite Bank. Here, the Turkmen leader was presented with projects prepared by specialists of the Ministry of industry and construction production and including the entire range of leisure facilities. These include sports fields, shops, service and social security facilities.
After reviewing the presented projects, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that the possibilities of the created recreation area, its architectural appearance and level of amenities should be optimally harmonized. The main requirement is to ensure high quality and accessibility for the population of the complex of services in the recreation area being built on the lake shore.
At the same time, the key place should also be given to the environmental component, the head of state stressed, instructing to carry out constant monitoring of the implementation of tasks.
As it was emphasized, it is necessary to provide interesting and useful leisure for adults and children in the upcoming summer season. Along with this, all conditions should be created here for water sports enthusiasts.
In continuation of the topic, the head of Turkmenistan instructed to study in detail the issues related to the preparation of special sites for organizing various sports competitions and the development of schemes for the location of recreation areas.
The importance of effectively solving the tasks of creating a modern recreation infrastructure here while actively using the achievements of scientific and technological progress and in the context of the socio-economic development of the country was noted, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
