The situation with the spread of coronavirus and measures to counteract the pandemic were discussed today by the head of the foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan and the Deputy Minister of foreign Affairs and international cooperation of the Italian Republic, Manlio Di Stefano.
According to the website of the Turkmen foreign Ministry, the sides stressed their readiness to cooperate on this issue.
During the online talks, the sides also exchanged views on the implementation of agreements in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields. In this context, the importance of the visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the Italian Republic in November 2019 was highlighted, during which 37 bilateral documents were signed aimed at expanding the Turkmen-Italian dialogue across the entire spectrum.
The foreign Ministers also expressed their mutual interest in increasing cooperation between the two countries ' foreign ministries.
