Priority tasks of socio-economic development, the progress of seasonal agricultural work, as well as preparations for festive events were discussed at a working meeting held today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov via digital video link, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
The head of state was the first to call the mayor of Ashgabat, Ya. Gylyjov, who reported on the measures taken to improve the capital, the situation on major construction sites, as well as preparations for the Day of the city of Ashgabat, the "Last call" ceremony and other significant dates.
After listening to the report, the President noted the need to ensure optimal comfortable living conditions for people and comprehensive modernization of the capital's infrastructure.
Addressing instructions on organizing celebrations dedicated to the day of the city of Ashgabat and the "Last call" ceremony in schools, the Turkmen leader instructed to ensure that they are held at a high level.
At the same time, the President focused on the issues of preparation for the world Bicycle day. As you know, the Resolution on declaring June 3 as world Bicycle day was adopted at the 82nd session of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly at the suggestion of Turkmenistan.
This fact testifies to the high assessment by the international community of the initiative role of our country in the development of sports and physical culture and health movement, international cooperation in this field and the formation of the ecological culture of society.
Speaking about this, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the hyakim of Ashgabat to fully prepare for the upcoming holiday at a high level.
Touching upon the upcoming summer season, the head of state noted the need to step up efforts to create comfortable conditions for proper summer recreation and gave hyakim relevant instructions.
Then the hyakim of the Akhal velayat, Ya. Gurbanov, was called by digital video link to report on the progress of agricultural work, as well as on the situation on construction sites in the region and the organization of upcoming holidays.
Summing up the report, the President ordered to take all measures for the timely implementation of appropriate work in the cotton fields in accordance with agro technical standards and addressed instructions for the preparation of the harvest of grain.
As noted, it is necessary to create all conditions for machine operators, drivers and other workers who will participate in the harvesting campaign during mowing. In continuation, the head of state addressed instructions to hyakim on the cultivation of vegetable and berry crops.
At the same time, the President focused on the topic of the upcoming summer holidays for children and adults. Speaking about the approach of the "Last call" ceremony in secondary schools of the country, the head of Turkmenistan addressed instructions to ensure a high organizational level of these events.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov also gave relevant instructions on commissioning social and cultural facilities within the planned time frame.
The workshop on digital video communication continued with the report of the Governor of the Balkan velayat, T. Atakhalliyev, who reported on the state of Affairs in the region, preparations for the grain harvest, and measures taken to care for cotton. It was also reported about the pace of work on the construction sites of the velayat and the cultural program for the upcoming significant dates.
After hearing the report, the President focused on the importance of timely seasonal agricultural work. It is necessary to ensure more effective use of appropriate equipment and inventory, and to prepare for the grain harvest at the appropriate level. In addition, the head of state gave instructions on the cultivation of other agricultural crops.
The President of Turkmenistan gave instructions to organize a traditional "Last call" ceremony at a high level. Due to the approach of the summer season, it is necessary to prepare children's health centers in the region to receive tourists, the head of state said. It was also ordered to keep under control the progress of construction of various facilities on the territory of the velayat.
Then hyakim of Dashoguz velayat N. Nazarmyradov reported on the measures taken to care for wheat, cotton and other seasonal work in daikhan farms, and also reported on the steps taken to accelerate the pace of construction of velayat facilities.
After hearing the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the need for timely implementation of all planned agro technical measures. Along with this, it is necessary to take measures for an organized grain harvest.
The head of state gave instructions on timely implementation of agro technical measures in order to grow rich crops of potatoes, fruits and vegetables and melons, and to take measures to complete the sowing of rice in the velayat.

The head of state also instructed the mayor to ensure a high organizational level of festive events on the occasion of the end of the school year and to keep under constant control the state of Affairs at the facilities being built under the National rural program.
