The UN Regional center for preventive diplomacy for Central Asia (RCPDCA) is launching a series of online exchanges as part of the global initiative dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the UN to develop a collective vision for the future of the world.
Through this initiative, the UN calls on people to come together to identify ways to strengthen international cooperation that will help build a better world, because in a world of major changes and complex problems, from the climate crisis to population displacement to unpredictable technological changes, people need to act together more than ever before.
The goal of the UN75 discussion is to intensify the dialogue on shaping a global vision until 2045, namely, for the 100th anniversary of the UN, to improve understanding of threats and challenges for the future, and to take collective measures that will contribute to international stability and peace.
This week, the UN Regional Center will initiate the first online discussion on the theme "Women, peace and security".
The RCPDCA invites young people, academia, think tanks and politicians from Central Asian countries to join the exchange of views and share their vision.
General ideas and proposals will be consolidated and presented to the leaders of States and responsible representatives of the UN during the 75th session of the General Assembly in September 2020.
