On the eve of the start of cotton sowing in Turkmenistan, a high-tech new batch of agricultural machinery from the world-famous manufacturer "John Deere" was received from the United States. It was made up of seeders and tractors equipped with a telematics control system.
According to the state news Agency of Turkmenistan, the implementation of mechanized works in agriculture using digital technologies and a telematics system makes it possible to process the soil in the most accurate way.
In August last year, a Memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection of Turkmenistan and the company "John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co. KG" (Germany) on implementation of digital electronic control system in agricultural machinery and equipment in the agricultural sector for the period 2020-2030.
According to the document, in the next few years, high-performance special equipment brands "John Deere" and "Claas", purchased by our country in 2013-2019, will be equipped with telematics. This system allows you to track cars, in particular, their location, fuel consumption, actual operating time, loading and many other parameters, directly from the office, as well as from any place with Internet access or from a mobile phone.
To do this, the administrative building of the Ministry of agriculture and environmental protection has created a control Center, where information about the equipment involved in agricultural campaigns will be received in real time. A similar velayat-level center is located in the city of Anau in the Akhal velayat.
It is also planned to create local observation points connected to a single node server in the administrative centers of the country's regions and their etraps, equipped with equipment for data collection, storage, analysis and processing.
It should be noted that all modifications of agricultural machines that come to our country are necessarily pre-tested for compliance with local soil and climate conditions. For example, John Deere tractors equipped with digital telemetry systems were successfully tested in the cotton fields of the Geoktepe, Kaka etraps and the Ak Bugday etrap of the Akhal velayat.
In total, in March-April this year, our country will receive 155 tractors of this brand and the same number of wheel sets and cultivators, as well as 98 seeders.
In addition, in accordance with the Resolutions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, with the company "John Deere Walldorf GmbH & Co. KG" major new agreements were signed for the supply of 600 cotton harvesters to Turkmenistan, 300 of which were received in 2019, and another 300 will arrive by the beginning of the "white winter" in 2020.
Combine "John Deere 9970" - a modern model that is easy to operate, economical, and high performance, including due to the large volume of the hopper. Earlier, in 2017-2018, 400 units of similar harvesting machines were delivered to our country.
In accordance with the decree of the President of Turkmenistan of December 2016, an agreement was signed with “CLAAS” on the phased delivery of grain harvesters, tractors for plowing and processing to our country in the period 2017-2020.
According to this document, “CLAAS” delivered 1000 units of modern grain harvesters of the brand "TUCANO 420", 800 units of arable tractors of the brand "AXION 850" and 1550 units of tractors for processing of the brand "AXOS 340".
By purchasing equipment of the latest modifications with improved functional characteristics, the state strengthens and modernizes the material and technical base of the agro-industrial complex, creating conditions for a stable increase in agricultural production, including by conducting field work in optimal agro-technical terms and with high quality. Productivity and professional qualifications of farmers are growing, and their working conditions are improving.
Modern samples of agricultural machinery and equipment "John Deere" can now be purchased by representatives of private businesses at the expense of a Bank loan. The relevant Decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan in January this year in order to provide state support to entrepreneurs.
Technical and technological modernization is a significant aspect of the ongoing changes in agriculture aimed at improving the competitiveness of the industry, strengthening food security and export potential of the country.
