Today, the road show "Oil and gas of Turkmenistan-2020", organized by the State concerns "Turkmengaz", "Turkmennebit" and "Turkmengeology" in partnership with the company "Turkmen Forum", started in Dubai, in the luxury hotel "Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights".
As part of the Roadshow, an international conference "TAPI — gas pipeline of peace and cooperation" and a forum on attracting foreign investment in the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality, will be held.
The event brought together participants from more than forty countries: representatives of more than 100 major oil and gas, service and consulting companies, financial institutions, research institutes, and experts.
The Turkmen delegation, headed by Yagshigeldy Kakayev, adviser to the President of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues, is represented by Rahimberdi Jepbarov, a member of the Board of the State Bank for foreign economic activity, heads and specialists of the state concerns “Turkmengaz” and “Turkmennebit”, the state Corporation “Turkmengeology”, and the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries.
Yagshigeldy Kakayev, opening the International conference, stressed the importance of the initiatives of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov aimed at creating a global energy security architecture, uniting the efforts of the world community in solving issues relevant to all mankind.
He also highlighted in detail the implementation of large-scale projects, including the construction of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline (TAPI), which is designed to give a powerful impetus to the socio-economic development of the region, and help strengthen peace and stability in the region.
The forum participants were shown a video about the achievements of the oil and gas industry, the experience of cooperation with foreign companies.
The reports made during the first plenary session of TAPI-gas pipeline for peace and cooperation aroused special interest among representatives of the oil and gas business community.
Further sessions were held on " Development of the gas chemical and oil refining industry of Turkmenistan. Industrialization is the main factor of economic diversification", "Development of the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea and attraction of investments".
