The Asian Football Confederation on its official website announced a list of cities that will host matches of the 2023 Asian Cup in China. The corresponding list was submitted by the Chinese football Association. 

The Asian Cup games will be hosted by 10 cities: Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Chongqing, Chengdu, Xian, Dalian, Qingdao, Xiamen and Suzhou. All the candidate cities showed great interest and expressed their readiness to participate in the largest football tournament in Asia.

"The AFC thanks the Chinese football Association and these 10 great cities for participating in the celebration of Asian football. I wish them every success in their quest to show the world that China can host huge international football events," AFC President Salman bin Ibrahim al Khalifa said in an address.

China will host the Asian Cup for the second time in history. The first time it was held in this country in 2004. The upcoming tournament will be held in June-July 2023. The current winner of the Asian Cup is the Qatar national team.

In 2004, the Turkmenistan national team made its debut in the final stage of the Asian Cup in China. In 2019, when the tournament was held in the UAE, our team participated in it for the second time. But in both cases, the Turkmen players could not get out of the group.
