The Turkmenistan Railways Agency agency launched an online ticketing service for passengers, the official website of the Turkmenistan Railways Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Communications of Turkmenistan reports.
Through mobile applications and the official website of the Turkmenistan Railways Agency (www.railway.gov.tm) passengers will be able to independently purchase electronic tickets for any destination, period and time of the trip. Payment for tickets will be made through the national payment system Altyn Asyr.
The Turkmenistan Railways Agency also provides users with a mobile application based on the Android and iOS operating systems. Simultaneously with the purchase of electronic tickets through the application, it is possible to save tickets and all trips made on your smartphone. You can download Android apps from Google Play, but iOS apps are currently in development.
At the beginning of the year, the postal service company Turkmenpost introduced a service for residents of the capital - in the Ashgabat post offices, you can also purchase tickets for traveling by rail in all directions.
The Turkmenistan Railways Agency serves approximately 6 million passengers every year. More than 5,000 professionals work in the passenger department of the agency, the purpose of which is to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers during the trip.
