Arslan Aynazarov was elected as Vice-President of the Central Asian Football Association

Today at the next Congress of the Central Asian Football Association, which was held in Dushanbe at the Hayatt Regency Hotel, President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan Rustam Emomali was elected the new President of the Central Asian Football Association (CAFA), the official website of the Football Federation of Tajikistan reports.

During the Congress, Vice-President of the Kyrgyz Football Federation, elected Dastanbek Konokbayev as CAFA First Vice-President, and Arslan Aynazarov, Secretary General of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan, as CAFA Vice-President.

After the election of the new leadership of the Central Asian Football Association, the organization’s headquarters moves from Tashkent (Uzbekistan) to Dushanbe (Tajikistan).

The new Executive Committee of the Central Asian Football Association included CAFA President Rustam Emomali (Tajikistan), CAFA First Vice President Dastanbek Konokbayev (Kyrgyzstan), CAFA Vice President Arslan Aynazarov (Turkmenistan), Acting Secretary General of the Afghanistan Football Federation Shabab Fazil Mohammad. Two more members of the CAFA Executive Committee should be nominated by the Football Association of Uzbekistan and the Iranian Football Federation.

At the CAFA Congress, the candidacy of the president of the Kyrgyz Football Federation Kanatbek Mamatov was supported by the Central Asian Football Association as a member of the Executive Committee of the Asian Football Confederation. 

Also at the Congress of the Central Asian Football Association, the report of the head of the Department of International Relations of AFC Vahid Cardania was presented, who presented a report on past CAFA competitions in 2017-2018.

The leaders and delegates of the Football Federations of Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, as well as the representative of the AFC, took part in the work of the CAFA Congress in Dushanbe. 

Note that the Central Asian Football Association, which was founded in June 2014, is one of the five areas of the AFC. CAFA unites the football federations of six countries - Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
