Russian operator T2 has simplified roaming conditions for subscribers abroad

Russian mobile operator T2 has announced changes to its international roaming terms: now its subscribers can use their included bundled minutes to call Russian numbers while abroad—just as if they were in Russia.

The new service automatically applies to over 50 countries, including Europe, the CIS, and several countries in Asia, the Middle East, and other regions. Calls to international numbers will continue to be charged according to standard international roaming terms.

The company explained that the new terms were made possible by streamlining billing for international roaming and interconnection agreements with international partners, which reduced the difference in service costs and offered customers more favorable terms.

According to the company's Director of Product and Customer Experience, Andrey Borzov, the changes are aimed at making travel more comfortable and communication costs more predictable. Subscribers no longer need to separately check their balance every time they call home.

The updated terms apply to the operator's popular bundled plans.
