Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited Chinese President Xi Jinping to visit Ashgabat "at his convenience." The invitation was extended by National Leader of the Turkmen People Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who is in China on a goodwill visit, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

Xi Jinping noted that Turkmenistan is Beijing's reliable partner in Central Asia. The Chinese leader also expressed interest in deepening bilateral cooperation in science, education, agriculture, and green energy.

Following the talks, the parties reaffirmed their intention to develop Turkmen-Chinese relations, which date back to the ancient Silk Road, across a wide range of areas.
