Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov has ordered that events in the country's provinces to mark the upcoming National Spring Festival, Novruz Bayramy, be properly prepared and held at a high level, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

The head of state issued this instruction at a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahalliyev and provincial governors.

During the meeting, the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country's regions was also discussed. The President instructed that fields for cotton sowing be leveled and harrowed, farmland in the Dashoguz velayat be irrigated in a timely manner, cotton producers be supplied with high-quality seeds, and vegetable, melon, and potato crops be properly tended. Furthermore, the head of state called for strict oversight of payments between wheat and cotton producers and service providers.

Serdar Berdimuhamedov also gave high-level instructions to conduct a spring greening campaign and a nationwide tree planting event on March 21.
