A Turkmen delegation, including representatives from the International University for the Humanities and Development, met with the Rectors of the University of Westminster, Andrew Lynn and Dibyesh Anand, during their working visit to London to discuss bilateral cooperation.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, Professor Andrew Lynn presented the research of the University of Westminster and noted that he had made several fruitful working visits to Ashgabat, participated in scientific conferences, and conducted professional development courses in collaboration with universities as part of the British Council's "Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia" program.
Professor Dibyesh Anand spoke about the University of Westminster's international work. In particular, he shared his experience working in the Central Asian region.
The delegation from Turkmenistan discussed the work of the IUHD, the university's achievements, and its collaboration and work with international partner universities.
During the meeting, the British side proposed conducting relevant work to organize exchange programs, short-term summer courses, and online courses in areas of mutual interest for IUHD students. A proposal was also made to jointly develop two diploma programs in a "2+2" or "1+1" format for long-term use.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to work towards establishing mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
Also, during the working visit, an international conference dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence was held in the conference hall of the University of Westminster, the source noted.
