A meeting with Alexei Sanchez, Political Affairs Officer at the US Embassy in Turkmenistan, was organized for students and faculty of the Faculty of European Languages and Literature at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages. Representatives of the Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan joined the guest at the meeting, where they discussed diplomatic relations and the importance of cultural exchange with the students. During the meeting, Alexey Sanchez gave a presentation on "The Role of Hispanic Heritage in the United States and Its Influence on American Culture." He discussed in detail the significance of Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrated annually in the United States from September 15 to October 15, as well as the role of the Spanish language in American public life, literature, and art.

The guest also shared interesting information about the history and culture of South American countries, as well as the regional characteristics of the Spanish language in different countries.

Participants were particularly interested in questions related to the literary norms of the Spanish language, as well as its dialectal features.
