Machine operators and engineering and technical staff from the “Balkanobahyzmat” production association are currently hard at work preparing fields for the spring cotton planting, reports Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

Specifically, targeted work is underway to prepare powerful equipment for the cotton planting season.

To date, 35 seeders and 117 inter-row cultivators have been fully repaired and brought into operational readiness in the velayat. All of the heavy-duty equipment, from various brands, has undergone a thorough inspection by experienced specialists.

Preventive measures have also been taken to strictly adhere to fire safety regulations. Furthermore, specially created technical maintenance teams, comprised of repairmen, mechanics, and specialized specialists, will be on duty throughout this critical season. Their task is to promptly resolve any malfunctions that may arise during the season. This will ensure that cotton planting is completed within the established agronomic deadlines and to a high standard.

Overall, the region plans to sow 13 thousand hectares of cotton in an organized manner this coming season, with a harvest of 16 thousand tons expected this year, the source noted.
