Turkmenistan has opened four additional border crossings for the evacuation of foreign citizens from Iran, the Russian Embassy in Ashgabat reported.

The new checkpoints are "Artyk-Lutfabad," "Gaudan-Bajgiran," "Akyayla-Incheburun," and "Altyn Asyr-Incheburun." All of these checkpoints are in addition to the previously operating "Sarakhs" crossing.

Earlier on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan expressed concern about the escalating situation in the Middle East.
