These days, the staff of the Dashoguz velayat Road Maintenance Department is busy upgrading a section of the road leading to the Zahmetkesh peasant association in the Boldumsaz etrap.

According to Turkmenistan: Golden Age, a one-and-a-half-kilometer stretch of road has been reconstructed here, and asphalt is currently being laid.

Similar measures are being taken on certain sections of several other roads in rural areas of the Boldumsaz and Akdepe etraps, as well as in the city of Dashoguz.

This year, the Department's specialists plan to carry out a large volume of related work in various parts of the region. They will primarily be supplied with asphalt by a plant located in the Gubadag etrap.

Today, the Dashoguz velayat has a well-developed road and transport infrastructure. Maintaining the network of transport arteries and communications, as well as the available resources and conditions, contribute to a consistent increase in freight and passenger traffic in the region, the source notes.
