The owner of the village of Veselukha in the Vitebsk region has listed the village for sale for 30 thousand Belarusian rubles (approximately 10,500 USD). This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing real estate portals.
The village is located five kilometers from the town of Postavy and 20 kilometers from the Lithuanian border, on the edge of a forest next to a river. The lot includes three unused buildings and a well. Utilities include electricity and wood-burning stove heating; there is no sewer system.
According to Selskaya Gazeta, the current owner purchased the village from private individuals with the intention of opening an agro-farmstead, but the project failed to materialize. He has now decided to sell the property.
By comparison, in the same Yunkovsky village council, which includes Veselukha, empty houses in neighboring villages are selling for the same base price—45 Belarusian rubles (approximately 15,8 USD). Since the beginning of the year, two properties have been sold this way.
