Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov participated in a meeting of the heads of Central Asian foreign affairs agencies with UK Minister of State for Defence Lord Rodney Coker, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The talks addressed regional security, strengthening mutual understanding, and developing dialogue between countries in the region and the United Kingdom. Particular attention was paid to exchanging experience in personnel training and improving response mechanisms to modern threats.
Participants emphasized the importance of constructive interaction in the interests of strengthening stability and security at the regional and international levels.
The meeting took place during Meredov's working visit to London, where the first meeting of the foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and the United Kingdom in the "Central Asia Plus" format is taking place on February 26.
