Samsung announced the integration of Perplexity artificial intelligence into the new Galaxy S26 series of smartphones as part of its Galaxy AI system. The company itself announced this.

Interacting with the assistant will be possible with the voice command "Hey Plex" or via the device's side button—the latter feature will need to be manually configured.

Perplexity's algorithms will be integrated into a number of Samsung's standard apps, including Notes, Clock, Gallery, Calendar, and Reminders. This makes Perplexity one of the first AI companies to integrate its technology into the Galaxy AI ecosystem. Furthermore, according to Bloomberg, which reported on this partnership back in June 2025, Perplexity will also become part of the Bixby voice assistant.

Samsung has not yet disclosed detailed information about the integration conditions and the full range of functions.
