A gala event dedicated to the success of the feature film "Composer," which was awarded special prizes by the International Organization of TURKSOY, was held at the Ashgabat Cinema in the capital.
According to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, an exhibition chronicling the history and development of national cinema was unveiled in the cinema's foyer. Among its valuable exhibits is a collection of prizes and awards bestowed over the years on Turkmen cinematography.
Speakers at the ceremony warmly congratulated the leadership of Turkmenistan, Turkmen filmmakers, and all participants of the event on the awarding of the film "Composer," produced with the support of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, with special awards from the International Organization TURKSOY.
Particular attention was paid to the uniqueness of new international awards, such as the "Winged Golden Horse" awarded to composer Kerim Berdimuhamedov. Notably, this award was presented by the International Organization of Turksoy for the first time, and its award testifies to the high artistic value of the film's musical score, which has significantly enriched national cinema.
No less significant was the presentation of the special "Big Winged Falcon" award to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care, in recognition of its contribution to the development of Turkmen cinema, the popularization of Turkic culture globally, and the comprehensive advancement of contemporary cinema. As emphasized, this award is further convincing confirmation of the international recognition of the Foundation's noble and creative work.
During this year's celebration, excerpts from the film "Composer" were also shown.
At the end of the event, participants adopted an address to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
As a reminder, "The Composer" has previously received prestigious awards. In 2024, at the 4th Gorkut Ata International Film Festival in Turkmenistan, the film won the Special Jury Prize and the Best Actress award. In 2025, in Moscow, Russia, the film won the Open Eurasian Film Award "Diamond Butterfly" in the Best Artist category, organized by the Eurasian Academy of Cinematographic Arts.
