Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree authorizing the state-owned concern “Türkmennebit” to purchase the necessary machinery and equipment to modernize the country's fuel and energy sector, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.

The document was sent by the head of state to Deputy Prime Minister Guvanch Agajanov via the digital system.

At a government meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Agajanov reported on measures to strengthen the concern's material and technical infrastructure. He stated that the work being carried out in this area ensures the uninterrupted and reliable operation of the state concern's production and technological facilities. Following his report, the Deputy Prime Minister presented a draft resolution to the head of state.

Signing the document, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the country is undertaking large-scale modernization of the oil and gas industry and addressed the Deputy Prime Minister with corresponding instructions.
