Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to Sanae Takaichi on her reelection as Prime Minister of Japan, the State News Agency of Turkmmenistan reported.
In his message, the head of state expressed his readiness to develop bilateral partnership, recalling his meeting with the Japanese side on the sidelines of the first “Central Asia–Japan” Dialogue Summit in Tokyo. Serdar Berdimuhamedov also wished Takaichi good health and success in his new position.
Takaichi has headed the Japanese government since October 21, 2025. On Wednesday, during the first Diet session following the snap lower house elections, the cabinet technically resigned, after which she was re-elected as the country's 105th prime minister. The composition of the second cabinet remained unchanged.
