Transit cargo traffic through Turkmenistan is growing.

Last year, transit cargo flows were carried to 108 countries, exceeding 7 million tons, a 28% increase compared to 2024. This was reported on the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

In the structure of foreign trade and transit traffic, road transport accounted for 43%, rail for 27%, sea for 28%, and air for 2%.

In 2025, the total volume of cargo passing through state border checkpoints reached 20 million tons, the highest figure since 2019.
