Tyson and Mayweather will meet in the ring on April 25 in the Democratic Republic of Congo

The location and date of the exhibition bout between boxing legends Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather have been announced. According to The Ring, the fight will take place on April 25 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The fight was announced back in September of last year, but without specific details. At the time, Mayweather was in talks for a rematch with Manny Pacquiao, scheduled for this spring, but after a deal failed, he returned to negotiations with Tyson. The weight class for the upcoming bout has not yet been determined.

This will be Tyson's first fight since November 2024, when he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jake Paul. That fight was included in his official professional boxing record.

Mayweather hasn't competed officially since August 2017, when he won a tenth-round technical knockout over Conor McGregor. In the following years, the American has limited himself to exhibition bouts.
