The “Oguzrobot” school team from Turkmenistan, taking part in the regional stage of the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) robotics championship in Astana, won the right to participate in the international robotics championship in China.
As reported by "Turkmenistan: Golden Age," the “Oguzrobot” team demonstrated a high level of preparation. Having defeated all competitors in the initial stages, the Turkmen roboticists successfully advanced to the qualifying round. Having won two of the four challenging games in the qualifying round, the team received high marks from the jury for their robot design and programming.
Based on the judges' decision, the “Oguzrobot” team was awarded a special quota to participate in the International Robotics Championship in China for its innovative solutions and high technical skills.
Around 80 teams from around the world, including Hong Kong, Estonia, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan, participated in the championship in Astana.
The team from Turkmenistan was represented by students from specialized secondary schools No. 97 and No. 86 in Ashgabat, who had undergone rigorous training at the capital's "Kämil bilim" training center.
As a reminder, last year, Turkmen schoolchildren received the "International Success" award at the competition in Astana.
We previously reported that two school teams are representing Turkmenistan in the regional stage of the FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge) robotics championship.
