Yesterday, Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova, on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, accepted the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Turkmenistan, Rolliansyah Soemirat. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
On behalf of the head of state, D. Gulmanova congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to this important post, wishing him success in strengthening friendly relations and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
In turn, the ambassador, on behalf of the leadership of the Republic of Indonesia, conveyed warm greetings to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The diplomat was given a detailed overview of the structure of the Mejlis and its multifaceted activities aimed at improving the national legislative framework. The ambassador was also briefed on the priority areas of Turkmenistan's peace-loving foreign policy. In this context, particular attention was paid to the importance of the country's constructive initiatives to ensure peace, stability, and prosperity on the planet.
During the conversation, views were exchanged on a wide range of issues, including cooperation within the UN and other authoritative international organizations.
At the end of the meeting, Rolliansyah Soemirate assured that it would make every effort to further strengthen Turkmen-Indonesian cooperation.
