Turkmenistan presented investment projects at energy forums in London

From February 9 to 12, 2026, representatives of the Turkmen Energy Forum (TEF) participated in international industry events—International Energy Week and the London Energy Forum. During the forums, the country's priority investment projects were presented and negotiations with potential partners were held.

The meetings discussed opportunities for cooperation with international companies and financial institutions, as well as upcoming industry events in Ashgabat.

Key projects presented at the forums included the further development of the “Galkynysh” gas field, the construction of the TAPI (Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India) gas pipeline, geological exploration work on the Caspian Sea shelf, the modernization of oil refineries in Turkmenbashy and Seydi, and the development of gas chemical complexes. Renewable energy projects were also highlighted, including the construction of a 10 MW hybrid solar-wind power plant and work to reduce the intensity of fires in the Darvaza crater.

Forum participants agreed on a common position among leading energy companies: the energy transition will be accompanied by maintaining supply security, and natural gas is seen as an important transition fuel amid the growing share of renewable energy sources.

Following the events, the parties expressed their intention to continue developing joint projects.
