A national coordination meeting was held at the Central Office of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan within the framework of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Global Programme on Passenger and Cargo Transport Control.

According to the customs service's website, the main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the implementation of the Program in Turkmenistan in 2025, identify the priority needs of national agencies, and agree on cooperation plans for the first half of 2026.

The parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening interagency cooperation in the area of passenger and freight traffic control and exchanged views on the practical aspects of program implementation.
