Volynkin: Relations between Turkmenistan and Russia are based on the principles of equality and mutual respect

Russia and Turkmenistan maintain strong ties based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and good neighborliness. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin at a gala reception dedicated to Russian Diplomats' Day.

"Among the top priorities of Russia's foreign policy is strengthening friendly and mutually beneficial relations with the Central Asian states and maintaining lasting peace and stability in the region. A striking example of this paradigm is the strong ties between Russia and Turkmenistan, based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and good-neighborliness," the diplomat said.

Volynkin expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, for their attentive attitude towards the comprehensive development of bilateral cooperation.

The ambassador also thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, for their close cooperation and continued support. He reminded that Turkmen diplomats will celebrate their professional holiday on February 18.

"I am confident that many interesting events and projects await us. Our close-knit team will continue to work with maximum dedication, contributing to the strengthening of the strategic partnership between Russia and Turkmenistan, as well as the centuries-old friendship between the fraternal peoples of the two countries," Volynkin emphasized.

Russian Diplomatic Workers' Day is celebrated on February 10.
