Dmitry Shlapachenko and Narine Saakyan were awarded a medal for the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality

United Nations Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Dmitry Shlapachenko and UNDP Resident Representative in Turkmenistan Narine Saakyan were awarded the jubilee medal "Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna" ("On the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality").

The awards ceremony took place today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov read out the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on awarding foreign citizens the jubilee medal "For the 30th Anniversary of Turkmenistan's Neutrality" and a commemorative silver badge and presented the awards in a ceremonial setting. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Turkmenistan, based on its status of permanent neutrality, consistently expands mutually beneficial cooperation with countries around the world and major international organizations, and implements joint projects in various fields.

In this context, the merits and contributions of foreign citizens who make a significant contribution to strengthening the independence and permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, developing international partnerships, and promoting the policy of international peace and trust on the global stage were particularly noted.
