During his visit to Abu Dhabi, Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The parties reviewed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the political, diplomatic, trade and economic spheres.

Particular attention was paid to intensifying efforts to implement large-scale joint projects, particularly in the energy and transport and logistics sectors. In this regard, the advisability of developing an economic cooperation program between Turkmenistan and the UAE was noted.

Furthermore, the parties exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues.
