Among the Lebap velayat enterprises that successfully completed the past year was the cotton spinning mill located in the Halach district. Over the year, the plant produced goods worth 113,510,000 manats, fulfilling its annual plan by 140,2 percent. The mill's production and sales exceeded the figures for previous years.

Last year, 2 963 tons of yarn were sold, 2226 tons of which were exported to Uzbekistan and Russia. The value of the exported yarn amounted to 72,309,000 manat.

Some of the yarn was sent to textile mills across the country.

The plant, equipped with state-of-the-art spinning machines, produces five types of yarn. Demand is particularly high for yarn type No. 17/1. It also produces yarns of thicknesses No. 14/1, 17/1, 20/1, 27/1, and 34/1.
