A. Seyitberdyyeva, a Korean language instructor at the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, together with students majoring in Pedagogical Education (Korean Language, Turkmen Language and Literature), are participating in the short-term Korean language and culture program entitled “Feel Korea! with KNU,” held in the cities of Seoul and Chuncheon, South Korea, from 19 January and 2 February 2026. The program is organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in science and education between the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages and Kangwon National University.
During the course of the program, participants attend practical Korean language classes and develop their everyday communication skills. Throughout the lessons, students learn to write complex words in the Korean alphabet and further enhance their writing and speaking proficiency.
In accordance with the cultural program, the students visited national museums in Chuncheon and Seoul, becoming acquainted with the cities’ history and cultural heritage as well as their natural beauty.
Such educational programs are of particular importance in fostering not only students’ theoretical knowledge of the Korean language but also their practical competencies. Learning a foreign language in its natural linguistic environment provides students with favorable conditions to master the language more rapidly and effectively. Moreover, close familiarity with the national traditions, cultural values, and way of life of the Korean people broadens students’ worldviews, increases their interest in international cooperation, and serves as a strong impetus for their future professional development as highly qualified linguists.
