Samsung has announced a new feature for its Galaxy smartphones designed to protect users' private data from prying eyes.
The developer has published demo videos of the technology. The feature allows users to hide screen content when entering passwords, reading messages, and viewing notifications. According to the company, the technology works at the pixel level, limiting the viewing angle for others while maintaining readability for the device owner.
Users will be able to customize this feature to suit their individual needs. Specifically, they will be able to select specific apps or interface elements (notifications, passwords) for which protection is enabled, as well as adjust the level of data visibility.
Insider Ice Universe posted a photo demonstrating the feature's functionality when hiding a message notification. The publication was spotted by Rozetked.
In October 2025, screenshots of Samsung's OneUI 8.5 skin with Privacy Display settings appeared on social media site X. Insiders speculate that the technology could be implemented in the new Galaxy S26 Ultra smartphones.
The company has not yet made any official announcements regarding the exact release dates for devices with this feature.
