The volume of mutual trade between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan increased by approximately 20% in 2025, with the range of products supplied expanding. This was reported by Tajikistan's Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Vafo Niyatbekzoda, in an article published in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan."
"The growth in mutual trade between the two countries, at approximately 20% last year, demonstrates the strengthening of trade and economic ties between the two countries," the diplomat noted.
According to him, these figures confirm the interest of both countries' entrepreneurial communities and businesses in establishing cooperation on mutual supply of products and establishing mutually beneficial contacts.
Niyatbekzoda emphasized that Tajik-Turkmen relations are characterized by a high level of trust, friendship, and good-neighborliness. In 2025, the countries will celebrate the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
"Over more than thirty years of history, the countries have gone through all stages of building mutual relations and have raised the level of interstate cooperation to a deep strategic partnership," the ambassador noted.
Tajikistan and Turkmenistan actively cooperate in the political, economic, social, and cultural spheres, as well as in transport, energy, agriculture, and industry. The countries fruitfully collaborate within the UN, OSCE, CIS, ECO, OIC, and other international organizations.
